Congratulations to Colton Riggs for receiving the 2013-14 Judge's Scholar Award given by the fiscal court. Colton Riggs' Day was celebrated on February 4, 2014. This honor goes to a different elementary student each month of our school year for good leadership, attendance, and citizenship qualities. 



CONGRATULATIONS to EAST HEIGHTS students and staff on a job well done on the K-PREP test last spring!! EAST HEIGHTS is a PROFICIENT/PROGRESSING school with an overall score of 68.7. This is the 88th percentile!! Great job!! 



 Congratulations to our P.E. teacher, Jamie Johnston, for earning a grant to start a 100 Mile Club at East Heights!

It will be held on Mondays for the first 50 students in 3rd-5th grade that sign up. They will meet each Monday from 2:30-3:30pm and students will learn how to pace themselves while running as well as many other things. Once students complete 25 miles, they will earn a free T-shirt!

Parents- Please join the PTA to support East Heights. Membership is $5. PTA meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

East Heights was named a 2009 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Secretary of Education. 264 public and 50 private schools will be honored at an awards ceremony on November 3 in Washington, D.C. The award honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools that are either academically superior, or have made dramatic gains in student achievement and helped close gaps in achievement among minority and disadvantaged students. East Heights is one of six chosen in the state of Kentucky. Each year, the U.S. Department of Education has sought out schools where students attain and maintain high academic goals.
