The second grade classrooms will be collecting Dimes for Doggies and Quarters for Cats during the month of December. All money collected will be given to Pay It Forward, a non-profit adoption shelter here in Henderson. Second graders challenge every student to bring in 10 dimes or four quarters and help us reach our goal of $300!

Parent Volunteers Needed!

We need parents to place color-coded stickers on our library books, which will aid our students in locating appropriate books at their reading level.  Call Miss Rone at 831-5132 to help with this simple yet important project!  And thank you to the parents who have already gotten this project rolling.  Students are very excited about finding great books at their new Lexile level!

Thank you to all the parents and staff who helped out on the annual PTA burgoo.  Niagara Elementary has the greatest parent volunteers and staff!

We appreciate all the wonderful grandparents who made the trip to Niagara for our annual Grandparents' Day celebration on Sept 8-9.  Some grandparents told us they'd left their homes before dawn to make it in time for breakfast!  To top it all off, our Grandparents' Day photo fundraiser made around $750 to spend on new document cameras, enough for each and every one of our classrooms.  ALL of Niagara's grandkids will benefit from this wonderful day spent with family.  Thanks to everyone who played a part!
