Honor Society

Chandler Elementary is very proud to be the first elementary school in Henderson County to have a National Elementary Honor Society chapter! Our NEHS chapter advisor is Mrs. Pammi Hayden. Chandler's NEHS members have been very busy volunteering their time and being good role models for our school!

Autism Awareness Fundraiser:  During March & April Nation Honor Society Members & Mrs. Hayden's 4th grade class conducted a fundraising drive to benefit Autism Awareness.  Over $700 was collected! Club members also took part in the first ever Autism Walk in Henderson.

Redbanks Visit: Over Christmas break members of Chandler's National Elementary Honor Society visited Red Banks Nursing Home. While there students delivered Christmas cards and sang Christmas carols to residents. They visited again in January to play board games with the residents.

Recycling: NEHS also works to make our school a "greener" place! NEHS members are collecting plastic caps to recycle and turn into a bench for our school! Please save plastic caps from water bottles and 2 liter bottles, butter lids, shampoo bottles, etc... and send them to our school. Thank you! Also, recycling bins are in all classrooms, workrooms, and office space to encourage students and staff to recycle paper. The students collects these bins and takes the paper to our large recycling bin outside for pickup.
