Kindergarten students will complete daily computer-based reading lessons, called Headsprout.  Headsprout Early Reading is a supplemental reading program that offers research-based online phonics lessons.  Kindergarten students progress through Headsprout's 80 episodes at their own pace, as this program is individualized for each student.  At this time, students do not have access to Headsprout at home.  Click on the link below to view a sample Headspout lesson.

www.starfall.com   This free website is full of great reading activities.  It offers practice on the letters of the alphabet, reading simple words, sight words and much more!

 www.pbskids.org   Featuring popular characters from PBS television, this free website is a great resource for educational games that are appropriate for kindergarten students.

You can also help your child practice typing their name.  This will help them when it is time to log on the computers at school.  Students must type their name in this format:  firstname.lastname                   

Please make sure to practice using their legal names (William, instead of Billy).
