Niagara Archery Club and Team

*We have 2 groups of archers at Niagara with a total of 50 archers; an archery team and an archery club. The only difference is the archery team goes and shoots at competitions while the club just shoots for the fun of shooting the bow and belonging to our group.
*The Archery students are to be positive role models for the students at our school so their grades and behavior must be good. Archery Club/Team members must keep their grades at a "C" or better to participate. Each Archery Club member is only allowed to have 1 (one) strike in a week. When they receive the 2nd strike or drop below a "C" in a class they will not be allowed to practice with the team that week or go to any meets we might have. They must still come to practice to be with the team but must work on homework and/or class work at the archery building. I will be there to answer any questions and help with any assignments or homework. I will check the strike books and grade books on Fridays and let students know on Monday if they can practice or not that week.
Archery practices are on Mondays and Wednesdays. Monday practices are what we call "Open Practice" the building is ours from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. This is a come if you want time. Even if you have 2 strikes or a grade below "C" you can still come to this open shooting time. On Wednesdays our students will ride Bus 135 to the Henderson County Archery Building at the corner of Garden Mile Road and Airline road. Our practice will end at 4:30 PM on Wednesday. There is NO bus returning them to Niagara School. The Archers need to be picked up after practice by a parent or guardian. If you choose to have your archer ride home with another parent, I will need a note telling me.
*Any 3rd grader that participates in archery must have a parent present at all times in the archery building. They cannot be watched over by another parent. This is not my rule…It is a National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) rule.
*I am not trying to scare anyone away; I am challenging our archers to be Positive Role Models for the students at Niagara Elementary. We can all behave and get A, B, or C grades and be a part of our Team/Club!
