Elementary students from Cairo, East Heights, Spottsville and South Heights merge to become one student body at North Middle School.  Faculty and staff are committed to providing our students the opportunity to experience success while learning and help each individual student develop to his or her fullest potential.  Students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades are divided into teams where students receive instruction in the core content areas.  NMS offers extended school services in the morning and afternoon.  Additional reading and math instruction is offered through Reading and Math Strategy classes, System 44, READ 180 and Cadet Reading and Math.  The Guidance Office and Youth Service Center serve non-academic needs of the student body.  NMS reached the 2009 NCLB reading and math goals for all subgroups.  NMS wants your child to leave NMS with the knowledge to succeed in life and have the resiliency to meet problems one may encounter outside the school setting.
