Book Fair
We will be having a Book Fair in the fall and spring. The money generated from these events will be used to support Accelerated Reader and new technology in the library.
The dates are as follows:
Fall: October 24th - 28th, 2011
Spring: February, 27th - 2nd, 2012
5th Annual Gingerbread House Contest
You are invited to participate in Spottsville Media Center's annual Gingerbread House contest.
What: Family created Gingerbread Houses (one entry per family)
When: All entries are due by Wednesday, December 7th.
Where: Bring all Gingerbread Houses to the Media Center for display and voting.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, December 15th. Winners will be chosen by students of Spottsville School. *If you want tokeep your Gingerbread House it must be picked up by Thursday, December 15th. Any entry not pickede up will be discarded.*
Used Book Roundup and Sale
In an effort to offer our children plenty of summer reading material we ask everyone to clean out those bookshelves, drawers, and closets to find any children's book that you may no longer want or need. I am sure many of you have books at home that your child has outgrown. Please send paperback and hardback books in GOOD condition. THis can include any barely used coloring or activity books as well. The books will be collected through the month of May and our used book sale will be near the end of May. Nothing will cost more than a dollar!!! The class with the most books donated will receive a prize. Each book donated will be worth 1 point for that classroom. These will not be accepted without a parent permission form/note. Any money earned will be used to help pay for Accelerated Reader. Thank you for your help and happy hunting!
