Henderson County Board of Education Approves May 4th as the Last Day of School for the 2019-2020 school year

On April 20th, Governor Beshear requested all public schools cease in-class instruction for the remainder of the school year due to COVID-19. Senate Bill 177, passed on March 16th, included a provision addressing the 1,062 student instructional hours guideline which is the minimum amount of instructional time that a school district must reach during the academic year.

Henderson County Schools will reach 1,062 student hours on May 4th and will have completed a total of 30 NTI days.

Each school will be communicating with parents/guardians details on the days when students may pick up personal items from their classrooms, lockers, and turn in Chromebooks along with any other materials requested by their teachers. The Child Nutrition Grab and Go meal program will continue into the summer feeding program. Please continue to monitor social media for any changes or updates.
