Henderson County Schools will start the school year with NTI Non-Traditional instruction (NTI) on August 26th.

On August 10th, Governor Beshear recommended that any in-class instruction not begin until Sept. 28, 2020.

 Henderson County Schools will start the school year with NTI Non-Traditional instruction (NTI) on August 26th.

 We will continue to keep you informed and up to date through our website, social media, and ParentLink. You will receive a Parentlink within the next few days from your principal with information on Chromebook pickup and additional details.

 Our teachers and staff are dedicated to providing extraordinary educational opportunities for every student. Thank you to our parents, families, community, school board members, and our staff for their support and understanding during this challenging and unprecedented time.  A Drive-Thru Chromebook Pick-Up will be held on August 18th through August 21st.  

 

 Elementary Schools

Students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher during the Drive-Thru and pick up their Chromebooks to use during Non-Traditional Instruction NTI.

  • Tuesday, August 18th – First Grade
    8:00-11:00 a.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 19th – Third and Fourth Grade
    8:00-11:00 a.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 20th – Kindergarten *each school will be communicating
    specific Kindergarten information
    8:00-11:00 a.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 21st – Second and Fifth Grade
    8:00-11:00 a.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Families will be able to pick up their Chromebooks anytime August 18th – 21st,  8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. However, students will ONLY be able to meet their teachers during the designated grade level days.  

Over the next few weeks, schools will be contacting individual families and scheduling appointments/ teacher conferences.

Blitz will run like an open house (but in the parking lot), meaning students and their parents can drop in on the day the student is scheduled for blitz any time during their designated time.

Blue unit students & parents - enter at the front-drive closest to the gas station; circle around the perimeter of the parking lot and pick up Chromebook & informational packet from PLT teacher, and park in the parking lot in front of the school.

Red unit and SoFA students & parents - enter on the west side drive closest to Arlington Drive (first drive off Zion Road if you’re headed east on Zion Road toward Zion); pick up your Chromebook and packet from your PLT teacher; and park in the parking lot behind the greenhouse.

Green unit students & parents - enter the back parking lot at the football stadium off Garden Mile Road; pick up your Chromebook and informational packet, and park in the parking lot behind the CTE unit.

Parents and students will remain in the cars during the Blitz.
