The Henderson County School System has an ongoing CHILD FIND System. The purpose of the CHILD FIND System is to find any child or youth, from birth to twenty-one (21) years of age, who may have a disability, regardless of the severity, and may need special educational services.
The Kentucky Department of Education has released the Spring 2021 data collected from the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA). Previously, these tests were called K-PREP – the Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress. All students in grades 3 through 8 and grade 10 take reading and mathematics tests in the spring of each year. The other subjects are tested once per grade level (science in grades 4, 7 and 11 and on-demand writing in grades 5, 8 and 11).
Henderson County Schools will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option of the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. As part of this program, Henderson County Schools will offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to all enrolled students and children age 18 and younger for the 2021-2022 school year.
