for more information.
Q: Do I need to sign up for sessions ahead of time?
A: No, the session schedule is available by clicking on the "Session Schedule" link on the right side of the page. Please take a look at the schedule and plan out your day. During each session time you will simply walk to the session that you want to attend. If it is full, then head to another one. The schedule duplicates most of the sessions so that you can have multiple opportunities to get to the session you want.
Q: What is the Dress Code?
A: Per the Superintendent, the dress code is "Business Casual" for the day.
Q: Is my session attendance tracked?
A: Yes, there will be a sign-in at each session. Each session you attend will be recorded with the session time, session code (S100, S144, etc.), your first / last name and the school you report to.
Q: Will there be food and drinks available during the day?
A: There will be food trucks at lunch time but no food / drink stations during the day. It would be a good idea to bring a bottle of water and a snack if you will need additional food items during the day.
Q: Do I need to bring a device?
A: Yes, if you are a certified employee, you have been issued a chromebook and you are required to bring it fully charged for the day.
Q: I am a classified employee and I do not have access to a chromebook?
A: Classified employees are not required to bring a chromebook, but there will be some available to check-out for the day. Check out will be located in the Auditorium.
Q: I am a teacher and I have an iPad, laptop or other device... Can I just bring that instead of the chromebook?
A: You canbring one in addition to the chromebook, but you are still expected to use the chromebook if you have been assigned one. This is the direction we are going with the 1:1 for grades 3-12 and you need to become familiar with these devices and how they are used in the classroom. There will be a few sessions where an iPad will be better suited, especially for primary teachers (K-2).
