Kris has been an educator for 18 years as a classroom teacher, a coach at the middle/high school level, as a district level instructional technology specialist, and now as the Director of Instructional Technology for Henderson County Schools. As a teacher, he taught biology, general science, and technology education courses. Kris has also been a coach for baseball, ice hockey, cross-country, swimming, volleyball, and track & field. As an instructional technology specialist, Kris managed and co-managed multiple projects and systems used by the district. As part of the technology team in Henderson County he has been involved in the visioning process that lead to the district's 5-year technology plan to implement a 1:1 digital transition for students.
As the Director of Instructional Technology for Henderson County Schools, Kris supports the staff and students of Henderson County in their use of technology and related resources for productivity and classroom instruction. The goal as we move forward is to move toward a more student-centered classroom that embodies the Core Values, Mission, and Vision of Henderson County Schools.
