Kentucky Paraeducator Exam Information -
What are the requirements for a person hired as a Paraeducator (Instructional Assistant, Instructional Monitor, Program Assistant)?
Complete at least 2 years of study (48 hours) at an institution of higher education; OR
Obtain an associate’s (or higher) degree; OR
Take the KY Paraeducator exam
What is the KY Paraeducator exam? A 60 question test (using multiple choice or true/false questions) covering literacy, math and instructional strategies. Passing score is 48/60 (80%).
