East Heights Elementary

The Board of Education approved renovation plans for East Heights Elementary School during the October 23rd Henderson County Board of Education meeting.

The project will be divided into four phases of renovation which will include demolition of the existing pods, constructing new classrooms, and adjusting the entry to the front office space. Once the new classrooms have opened, the existing pods will be demolished. The renovation project, projected to be 17 million, is currently in the planning and design phase.

Superintendent Dr. Bob Lawson notes that the construction project will “create a more welcoming and functional school space that will provide our students with the best possible educational experience and safety. It will cause minimal disruption to the daily educational process during the renovation.”
