Beginning May 27th, the Henderson County Board of Education office will operate on summer hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The Henderson County Schools Child Nutrition Department invites the community to the Summer Meal Program Kickoff on Tuesday, May 27th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the North Middle School football field. We have a wonderful tradition here in Henderson that started a few years ago — our graduating seniors get to walk the halls of their former elementary and middle schools! 🎓✨
It's such a meaningful way to celebrate their journey & reconnect with former teachers &staff. Watching the younger students cheer them on reminds us all of how far they've come — and how bright their futures are!
Due to the potential for severe storms in our area, we will be dismissing school early today.
• Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m.
• Secondary schools will dismiss at 2:30 p.m.
All after-school activities are canceled for today.
All Child Care Centers will remain open until 4:00 p.m. Parents, please make arrangements to pick up your child by that time.

Child Care centers will be open at East Heights Elementary, Bend Gate Elementary School, and Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center. Please remember to bring your child's Chromebook with them to childcare.
Each school will be sharing their specific NTI plans with families.
