🎉 Big congratulations to our HCHS SkillsUSA team, who represented us at the National Competition last week! 🏆 👏 Carter Siewer brought home 3rd place in Interactive Application and Video Game Development — an amazing achievement on the national stage! 💡 Our Quiz Bowl team placed 6th in the nation! Huge shoutout to Andrew Harrison, Ava Zigler, Kyen Jiang, Lydia Burnette, and Ramsey Watson for their incredible teamwork and knowledge.

🎉 Congratulations to Mrs. Gwen Courtney, principal of Jefferson Elementary School, on graduating from the Kentucky Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Institute for School Principals! Join us THIS Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 4:00 PM to give a hero's welcome to our Lady Colonels Softball team! 🥎 We'll be celebrating their incredible season as they present the KHSAA State Championship runner-up trophy to the community at the Lady Colonels North Softball Field.

Beginning May 27th, the Henderson County Board of Education office will operate on summer hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Henderson County Schools Child Nutrition Department invites the community to the Summer Meal Program Kickoff on Tuesday, May 27th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the North Middle School football field. We have a wonderful tradition here in Henderson that started a few years ago — our graduating seniors get to walk the halls of their former elementary and middle schools! 🎓✨ It's such a meaningful way to celebrate their journey & reconnect with former teachers &staff. Watching the younger students cheer them on reminds us all of how far they've come — and how bright their futures are!

Due to the potential for severe storms in our area, we will be dismissing school early today. • Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. • Secondary schools will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. All after-school activities are canceled for today. All Child Care Centers will remain open until 4:00 p.m. Parents, please make arrangements to pick up your child by that time. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
